The Fed\u2019s proposed issuer framework adds a regulatory variable but remains under comment.<\/p><h2>Deeper context and limits<\/h2><p>Stablecoin supply can rise because an issuer minted tokens for inventory before the tokens enter broad circulation. Conversely, rapid redemptions might reflect arbitrage rather than a lasting exit from crypto. Changes in chain routing and exchange wallet management can also shift visible transfers without matching shifts in end-user demand.<\/p><p>To interpret an inflow, compare net issuance with reserve disclosures and independent transaction metrics. Break out chain bridges, exchange addresses and repeated transfers where methods allow. The key analyst question is persistence: do the same measures remain elevated over several periods after incentives and one-off settlement flows subside? That question is more useful than a single large daily total.<\/p><h2>Bull, bear and neutral cases<\/h2><div class=\"cases\"><div><h3>Bull case<\/h3><p>Sustained, independently verified use alongside strong redemption performance would support a demand thesis.<\/p><\/div><div><h3>Bear case<\/h3><p>Internal routing, subsidized volume or poor reserve transparency would weaken it.<\/p><\/div><div><h3>Neutral case<\/h3><p>Supply may grow while market impact remains muted if funds stay idle.<\/p><\/div><\/div><h2>Confirmation and invalidation<\/h2><p>Seek persistent growth under more than one methodology. Invalidate the thesis if revisions or redemptions erase the apparent inflow.<\/p><p>Confirmation would require consistent growth across independent measures over time. Invalidation would be a large revision or evidence that reported volume mostly reflects internal routing.
