DriveWealth Adds Ripple Rails for Brokerage Funding; RLUSD Settlement Starts With Europe

The partnership combines several workstreams with different rollout stages. It is not evidence that every capability is available in every market.

DriveWealth and Ripple announced a partnership on 14 October to connect digital-asset infrastructure with brokerage funding, settlement and custody. Their release describes RLUSD on XRP Ledger for European settlement, with U.S. expansion planned.

DriveWealth is also integrating Ripple Payments for cross-border acceptance and working on European digital-asset custody. Equity financing through Ripple Prime’s Delta One business remains an area of exploration.

Different capabilities, different stages

The release says clients can fund collateral accounts with stablecoins converted to cash in near real time. That is a company statement, not NetNapz confirmation from a tested client account. The announcement provides no common completion date for every integration or quantified production volume.

NetNapz assessment: funding is not the same as execution

Assessment: making funds available more quickly can address a practical brokerage problem, but it should be distinguished from the settlement of the security itself. A faster payment leg does not automatically change an equity market’s settlement cycle, custody arrangements or investor protections.

The useful customer questions are operational: which legal entity provides the service, what assets it accepts, when conversion occurs, what fees apply, and when cash becomes available for trading or withdrawal. The answer may differ by location and partner, even under one platform brand.

Liquidity and controls still matter

Assessment: a payment token operating continuously does not make every connected bank or securities process continuously available. Conversion liquidity, screening, beneficiary verification and reconciliation remain parts of the end-to-end route. Reliability should be assessed at the point where a customer needs usable funds, rather than solely at blockchain confirmation.

A productive next disclosure would separate enabled services from work in progress and give dated availability, supported-client criteria and measured completion times. Evidence of repeat usage would carry more commercial weight than the breadth of a partnership announcement.

XRP relevance needs its own evidence

Assessment: the named settlement asset is RLUSD. Use of XRP Ledger should not be equated with a demonstrated increase in investment demand for XRP. A token-value argument needs a specified mechanism and measurable activity, not merely the identity of the network or provider.
