Mercado Bitcoin Opens Sui Transfers and USDsui Collateral; Hashi Integration Remains Exploratory
Mercado Bitcoin says Brazilian clients can now buy, sell, send and receive SUI, USDC and USDsui through Sui-network rails. The announced Hashi and tokenized-asset expansion is a future plan, not a live product.

Mercado Bitcoin said on 29 October that its Brazilian platform now supports buying, selling, deposits and withdrawals for SUI, USDC and USDsui over the Sui network. The company also says USDsui is accepted as collateral in its lending product and that Brazilian-real funding is available through Pix.
The Mercado Bitcoin announcement is consistent with the Sui Foundation release. Both describe the transfer support and USDsui collateral use as available now. NetNapz did not open an exchange account, place a trade, initiate a withdrawal or test the lending flow, so operational availability is reported from the two parties rather than independently demonstrated end to end.
What is live and what remains planned
The live claim is narrower than the full partnership announcement. Mercado Bitcoin says clients can transact in the three named assets and move them through Sui-compatible addresses. It also describes USDsui as eligible collateral for its lending product.
By contrast, the companies say they are exploring an integration with Hashi, Sui’s Bitcoin-finance system. The Sui release says Hashi-related products would remain subject to Mercado Bitcoin’s internal governance and applicable Brazilian rules, and that no such offering is currently available. Hashi exploration therefore should not be presented as a launched Bitcoin lending product.
Mercado Bitcoin also says it will bring its tokenized-real-world-asset platform to Sui. It reports more than 800 tokenized assets issued since 2019, but neither announcement supplies a deployment address, migration timetable or completed onchain issuance on Sui. The current evidence supports an expansion plan rather than a completed RWA migration.
Regulatory references need entity-level care
Brazil’s central bank lists Mercado Bitcoin Instituição de Pagamento Ltda as a Pix participant and separately lists Mercado Bitcoin Corretora de Títulos e Valores Mobiliários S.A. among supervised financial-market entities. Those records support the existence of regulated group entities, but they do not make every cryptoasset, collateral arrangement or future tokenized product a government-approved investment.
The distinction is especially relevant when reading the companies’ broad “regulated” language. Product availability, issuer risk, custody arrangements and any securities-law treatment still depend on the specific entity, contract and asset. NetNapz did not verify individual customer eligibility, loan terms or geographic restrictions beyond the public releases.
What the announcement means for SUI
The launch adds a distribution and transfer route for SUI and Sui-based dollar assets in Brazil. It does not establish how many customers will use the network, how much volume will move onchain or whether activity will create sustained demand for SUI. Client-count figures in the releases describe Mercado Bitcoin’s potential audience, not verified users of the new Sui rails.
The pairing with Pix may reduce funding friction for eligible Brazilian clients, but fiat access and onchain settlement remain distinct steps with their own fees, spreads, custody choices and operational risks. Users should also verify the destination network and asset contract before transferring funds.
NetNapz assessment
Assessment: the immediately useful development is the addition of Sui-network deposits and withdrawals alongside local fiat access, plus USDsui collateral support. The more ambitious claims—Hashi-backed Bitcoin finance and migration of Mercado Bitcoin’s tokenized-asset platform—need separate evidence of product approval, contracts, launch dates and actual use.
Evidence to watch includes published USDsui lending terms, confirmed Sui addresses or deployments for tokenized assets, a firm Hashi launch decision, independently observable transaction activity and entity-specific regulatory disclosures. None of those should be inferred from the partnership headline alone.
