Aptos says the initial investor and core-contributor unlock programme finished on 12 October. The milestone closes a specific genesis vesting schedule—not all token distributions, staking rewards or potential selling.

What the Foundation confirmed

The Aptos Foundation’s public company-page statement says the four-year genesis schedule for core contributors and investors concluded on 12 October 2026, with no tokens from those original allocations left to unlock. NetNapz retrieved that statement directly; the page’s relative posting label is not used as an independently verified publication timestamp.

This is issuer confirmation, not a NetNapz wallet-by-wallet audit of the final releases. An unlocked token is eligible for use or transfer; the announcement does not establish that its owner sold it.

The original schedule separates different supply streams

The 17 October 2022 tokenomics overview dates mainnet launch to 12 October 2022. It places investors and core contributors on a four-year schedule, excluding applicable staking rewards, with their remaining allocation unlocking by the fourth anniversary.

The same document describes community and Foundation tokens separately, with distribution anticipated over ten years. It also explains that staking rewards can increase total supply. Those historical terms must not be presented as a freshly audited circulating-supply count or current reward rate.

NetNapz assessment: a narrower change than “unlocks end”

Assessment: removing one programmed vesting stream changes the future release profile. It does not by itself demonstrate net deflation, eliminate transferable holdings or guarantee price appreciation. Existing holders may still transfer already-unlocked assets, while other distribution and issuance mechanisms require separate checks.

For readers evaluating APT, the useful next comparison is between actual circulating-supply changes, reward issuance, fee burns and remaining treasury or community distributions. A vesting calendar is not a substitute for those measurements. This report asserts no current price, aggregate supply figure, sale flow or completed tokenomics reform.

Separate from the privacy upgrade

The supply milestone is distinct from Aptos’s encrypted-mempool rollout. Software functionality and token distribution answer different questions; neither should be used as evidence for the other’s economic impact.
