The exchange’s October filing describes margined, dollar-settled SEI exposure through registered intermediaries. Certification is not evidence of token purchases or a guarantee of liquid trading.

What the official record establishes
Nadex, doing business as OG.com Markets, says it submitted SEI perpetual-futures self-certifications under CFTC Regulation 40.2(a). The CFTC product registry lists the Sei perpetual futures contract as a future with Certified status dated 8 October. This report’s publication date must not be confused with that earlier regulatory record.
The exchange notice describes USD-settled perpetual index futures, with periodic funding cash adjustments between long and short holders intended to track spot SEI. Customer access is through a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant, or a registered introducing broker connected to one.
A cash claim, not delivery of coins
The 8 October filing describes contracts without a fixed expiration date, settled in dollars on close-out. Its reference benchmark is the CF Sei-Dollar Spot Rate administered by CF Benchmarks. Initial and continuing margin requirements apply; insufficient margin can lead to a margin call or liquidation. Trading is subject to maintenance windows and exchange controls.
Consequently, holding the contract is not the same as receiving SEI in a wallet. The filing documents a derivatives mechanism, not a token allocation or a requirement that every long position generate a matching spot purchase. Perpetual funding also means that an exposure’s cash flows are not determined solely by its entry and exit prices.
NetNapz assessment: access and adoption are separate tests
Assessment: the useful distinction is between an available product framework and evidence of sustained use. Registered intermediation changes the access channel and operational responsibilities; it does not remove price, funding, margin or execution risk. “Perpetual” describes the absence of routine expiry, not a promise that a position can survive without adequate collateral.
Self-certification should not be translated into a CFTC endorsement of SEI’s investment merits. Nor does the registry establish the size of institutional demand. Claims about adoption require dated trading volume, open interest, executable spreads and intermediary availability. A product filing alone cannot answer those questions.
For the token itself, the next economic test is whether any derivatives activity translates into measurable hedging, liquidity or spot-market effects. These are possible transmission channels to investigate, not outcomes established by the documents reviewed here.
Sources and verification limits
Checked 19 October 2026: the exchange notice, CFTC registry and linked filing. NetNapz has not independently verified the first trade, current broker availability, volume, open interest, funding rate or a live SEI price. No exchange account or trading application was accessed. The official source image was visually inspected. Reporting and assessment are separated; this is not investment advice.
